Pratyusha Banerjee whom we best remember as Anandi from Balika Vadhu committed suicide earlier in the day. She was pronounced dead at Kokilaben Hospital.

The news of the former Balika Vadhu actress has jolted one and all in the television industry so much so that many people are left in tears with the sudden turn of events.
Pratyusha Banerjee committed suicide in on Friday afternoon and the news only came by late evening to the media and fans. The actress passed away in Kokilaben Ambani Hospital in Andheri. As per a news report, she attempted suicide earlier in the day and hung herself. When she was admitted to the hospital, she was pronounced dead.




It has been reported that problems in her personal life pertaining to her boyfriend made her take this step. While actors from the television fraternity are refraining from making a comment, sources present at the venue inform the presence of Gurmeet Choudhary and his wife Debina, who are in tears after hearing the sudden demise of the actress.


Pratyusha was best known for her debut role in Balika Vadhu. Thereafter, she shifted to reality shows and participated in Bigg Boss 7. Her last outing on TV was in Sasural Simar Ka where she played a daayan. The past few months were pretty controversial for her as she accused eight men of posing as cops and molesting her.
