NIA files charges in high quality fake currency case

 The National Investigating Agency has filed a chargesheet in the fake currency case involving a lynchpin of the Dawood Ibrahim syndicate. In the chargesheet the NIA names Ekramul Ansari as the prime accused who had attempted to smuggle in fake currency notes worth Rs 49 lakh from Dubai to India.

Missing children cases in Delhi increased in 2014

There has been a 12.11 percent increase in the number of missing children in the national capital in 2014, according to Delhi Police data. A total of 6,227 cases were registered till Dec 15, 2014, compared to 5,554 cases in the corresponding period of 2013.

UP Lokayukta serves notice to minister's family in graft cases

 Uttar Pradesh Lokayukta has served notices to the family members of the state mining minister Gayatri Prasad Prajapati while probing a complaint of alleged disproportionate assets acquired by the minister. Lokayukta N K Mehrotra also served notices to two other state mining department officials, an official of Lokayukta office said. "Notices were served yesterday to Principal Secretary (Mining) and Director (Geology and Mining), who have been asked to appear before Lokayukta on January 9 and 12 respectively", the official said.

Nashik (Maha), Dec 28: Yoga guru Ramdev on Sunday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will keep his promise of bringing back black money from abroad, although it may take some time. He was addressing a gathering at a yoga camp organised by Maratha Vidya Prasarak Samaj (MVPS). "PM Modi had given an assurance that black money stashed in foreign bank accounts would be brought back. He will definitely fulfill his promise, although it may take some time," he said.
