Bengaluru shame: School Bus driver arrested for raping college girl

As women safety has become one of the prime concern in the IT hub Bengaluru, another blot came on Tuesday when a 28-year-old school bus driver was arrested for raping and blackmailing a 19-year-old college girl.  According to TOI report, the accused Sanjeev Murthy raped the girl on October 25, Tuesday, when he saw her with one of her male friend near Omkara Hills, Kengeri, off Mysore Road. Blackmoney: ED freezes Rs 9,003cr props,files 173 charge-sheets

In a major action against black money hoarders and money launderers, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has attached assets to the tune of Rs 9,003 crore and filed 173 charge sheets in the financial year 2014-15. Read more: Kashmiri voters The agency, as part of its efforts to crack down on illicit funds in India and abroad, in the last year registered a mammoth 400 per cent rise in the numbers of assets attached, over 500 per cent increase in the number of criminal FIRs lodged, over 600 per cent more numbers of arrests made of people suspected to be involved in laundering crimes and more than 200 per cent jump in the filing of prosecution complaints or charge sheets as compared to the 2013-14 fiscal.

The government on Wednesday approved enhancing the minimum punishment for taking or giving bribes from six months to three years and the maximum punishment from five years to seven years.

Problem faced by female in this corruption world

Females have to faced a lot of in this corrupt world whether it is private sector of government. All of them have to suffer a lot. We are living in this new era and has a very broad thinking. Then why a girl or a lady or a women has to face harassment during travelling in a bus, taxi or other transport medium. Why she is not feeling a comfort zone in her office , no matter that she has what post. All the glaring eyes are always on her. She has no freedom at any place.

Corruption (bribe-taking), it can be argued is essentially the opposite of altruism – it amounts to asking an individual for money to help them, and strictly reduces the well-being of the person paying the bribe. Extrapolating from the above mentioned studies, one could hypothesize that women are less corrupt and less likely to be involved in bribery.

Arrested I-T officer was helping to settle Rs 10 cr tax: CBI

An arrested Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax allegedly demanded nearly Rs 6 lakh as bribe from businessman Vikas Singla to help him evade Rs 10 crore of tax, the CBI has claimed. Sources said M Logapathy was arrested by the agency from his office after he allegedly received the last installment of Rs 1.5 lakh as bribe from Singla to help him dodge Rs 10 crore of tax demand raised against him.
