Delhi Shocker: Domino's Pizza treat becomes nightmare, delivery boy molests 5-year-old girl
A Domino's Pizza delivery boy has been arrested as he has been accused of molesting a 5-year-old girl. The incident took place in Delhi on Sunday, July 12. The accused allegedly had touched the minor girl inappropriately when he had gone to deliver pizza on Sunday morning. The pizza delivery boy was asked to deliver the pizza at the third floor of the building and the victim had gone downstairs to call other members of the family to join them to enjoy the pizza treat.
While returning after handing over the pizza to the grandmother of the victim, the accused allegedly molested the girl, a Class I student. Victim's grandmother has been quoted as saying, "My grandchild came into the room after a while looking shaken and shocked. She hugged her mother tightly and narrated the incident." The family tried to nab the delivery boy, who, however, left the building. They later went to the Domino's Pizza outlet at Lajpat Nagar and confronted the manager.
The family members were told that the delivery boy was not present at the outlet and later were informed that Domino's Pizza accepted the resignation letter of the accused. The family registered a legal case against the accused and Delhi Police arrested him. Police sources were quoted as saying, "The child's statement will be recorded under Section 164 of the CrPC before a magistrate on Monday."
A case has been registered against the pizza delivery boy under Section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code and Section 6 of the Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act
