Lucknow: The District Magistrate of  Lucknow  banned the public display of firecrackers in the  Uttar Pradesh  capital on Tuesday, in the wake of the tragedy at  Puttingal Devi temple  in Kerala's Kollam. 109 people were killed and more than 350 injured in the fireworks tragedy at the temple.The Lucknow DM has banned the use of firecrackers at all public events in the state capital.However, there is no ban on bursting of firecrackers by private individuals. It may be noted that the ban is limited just to Lucknow, and is not applicable in other parts of the state.

रायपुर : जब एंटी करप्शन ब्यूरो की टीम छापेमारी करती है, तो अच्छे-अच्छों की हालत खराब हो जाती है। कुछ ऐसा ही हुआ जब आय से अधिक संपति के मामले में एसीबी के 10 अधिकारियों ने छापेमारी की। एसीबी ने एक ही साथ रायपुर, बिलासपुर, कोरबा और रायगढ़ स्थित ठिकानों पर दस्तक दी। इस दौरान एक एग्जीक्यूटिव इंजानियर ने पिल्लो कवर में 35 लाख रुपए भरकर घर से बाहर फेंक दिया। लेकिन बाहर फेंके पैसों को भी एसीबी ने बरामद कर लिया। एसीबी ने रायगढ़ में पदस्थ PMGSY के ईई एसएन पाठक के बिलासपुर और कोरबा स्थित ठिकानों पर छापे मारे । शनिवार सुबह जब एसीबी की टीम पहुंची तब पाठक बिलासपुर स्थित आवास में थे। एसीबी की टीम ने शनिवार को अलग-अलग विभागों के अधिकारियों के घर पर रेड डाली। जिसमें फूड. इरीगेशन और एजुकेशन डिपार्टमेंट के 10 अधिकारियों के 13 ठिकानों पर छापे मारे गए। इसके लिए डीएसपी लेवल के 100 अफसरों की टीम बनाई गई थी। कहा जा रहा है कि इस दौरान करोड़ो की संपति का खुलासा हुआ है। कार्रवाई खत्म होने के बाद अधिकारी प्रेस कांफ्रेंस कर विस्तृत जानकारी दे सकते है। एसीबी को लंबे समय से इन अधिकारियों के खिलाफ शिकायतें मिल र...

Lucknow: Training her guns once again at the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) chief Mayawati said 'Stand Up India' scheme was an eyewash with no serious purpose other than to get Dalit votes in the next Uttar Pradesh assembly polls. Before attempting to socially empower the Dalits, Prime Minister Modi should try and fill the reserved quotas for these communities in government jobs, said Mayawati in a statement here. "All that is happening smacks of political agenda as there is no serious will to improve the lot of the Dalits and the downtrodden," said the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister. Responding to her criticism, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said the Dalit leader had lost her sense of balance.
